Anger Management Group Series

Each Anger Management Group Series is tailored to meet the needs of

the group participants. Anger areas covered in group include but are not

limited to domestic violence, workplace violence, anger issues at home

and simple assault.

Session One:

Introduction to Anger Management Group. What is anger, how does

anger affect my health and what are my anger triggers?

Session Two:

What do I do when I get angry?

Understanding Anger:

a. How I get angry

b. The Anger Cycle & The Three Rs (Retreat, Rethink, Respond)

Session Three:

Anger distortions

Trigger thoughts

Coping thoughts

Session Four:

What is underneath my anger?

Ways to handle anger

Session Five:

Dealing with Criticism

Dealing with someone else’s anger

Session Six:

More ways to get a handle on anger

Wrap up of group & Distribution of group completion certificates
